50 × 60 mm, deep enough to read as a beam without a special frame
The face that will not dominate a low room
Either, depending on the substrate and the run length
Hollow and finished on all sides, seen from below and from the side
A hollow wood-plastic ceiling tube at 50 × 60 mm. It is the middle of the range and, in practice, the section that gets specified when there is nothing unusual about the ceiling: deep enough to read as a beam, light enough for a standard ceiling void, and able to fix to a batten or direct without a special frame.
It is used for decorative ceiling beams in commercial and residential ceilings, either as single runs or set out as a coffer grid. The 60 mm face is the narrow end of the 50 mm-deep family, which matters in a low room: at the same depth, a 75 mm or 90 mm face reads wider and heavier, and in a ceiling that is already tight the narrower face is the one that will not dominate the space. The profile is finished on all four sides, so it is exposed on every face and can be seen from below and from the side. Whether it hangs or fixes direct depends on the substrate and the run length — direct fix over a flat slab for short runs, hangers for longer runs or a suspended ceiling.
Send the ceiling grid rather than an area when you enquire, because the spacing is a design decision and it changes the quantity substantially.
A beam line at domestic scale, where a wider face would be heavy
A quiet detail over the bed, at a section that suits normal room height
A ceiling that gains some articulation without a fit-out budget
A warm beam line over a small floor plate
1 × 20ft container, mixed across products where the mix suits the project. A sample box can be arranged before the first container.
Yes. Send the product and the size you are specifying, and we will confirm the sample and the lead time for it.
Yes, it is the middle of the range: deep enough to read as a beam, light enough for a standard ceiling void, and it takes a batten or direct fix without a special frame. If there is nothing unusual about the ceiling, this is usually the section.
Same depth, narrower face. A 60 mm face reads as a neat beam; 75 and 90 mm read wider and heavier. If the ceiling is low, the narrower face is the one that will not dominate the room.
Either, depending on the substrate and the run length. Direct fix works over a flat slab with short runs; longer runs or a suspended ceiling need hangers set out along the run.
Set out the grid first, then count. The spacing is a design decision and it changes the quantity a lot, so send us the grid and we will price from the layout rather than from an area.
Final packing, freight and loading plan are confirmed in writing on the order quotation.
