Process
How to Order
What happens between sending the first email and the container leaving. No account setup, no portal — the order runs on an email thread and a proforma invoice.
Step by step
Eight steps, in the order they happen
Each step names who does what and how long it takes. Nothing here starts before the one above it is settled.
-
1
Send the specification
Product, size, quantity and destination port. If the project has a fire, acoustic or emission requirement, send that clause too — it narrows the range before price is discussed.
-
2
Get a written quotation
We reply within one business day with the unit price, the lead time and the loading plan for your container. Not a price range — the sheet, the standard and the date.
-
3
Check a sample
Where colour or surface matters, a cut sample settles it before production. Posted by courier with the technical data sheet for that product.
-
4
Confirm and pay the deposit
The proforma invoice carries the full terms, the packing plan and the delivery date. Production is scheduled on the deposit, not on the email.
-
5
Production
15–25 days for the standard range. Non-standard sections and colours are made to order and are confirmed against a date when the specification is fixed.
-
6
Inspection before shipment
Section, length, colour and surface are checked against the order sheet. Third-party inspection can be arranged if your company requires it — say so at quotation, not after the container is packed.
-
7
Loading and documents
Bundles are strapped with corner protection and loaded to the plan agreed earlier. Invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificates issue together.
-
8
Balance and shipment
The balance is settled before shipment. After that the file is yours: documents, batch records and the test reports that go with the order.
What we need
Six lines and the quote comes back as a number
Missing any of these turns a quotation into a round of questions, which is the slowest part of any first order.
- Product and grade Which line, and the face grade or class you need.
- Size and thickness The section or sheet size, and the thickness.
- Quantity Square metres, pieces or the container you intend to fill.
- Destination port This decides the freight and the trade term.
- Rating, if any Fire class, NRC, emission class — the clause you have to meet.
- When you need it The date the material has to be on site, not the date you want to order.
