Void-free, so a machined edge shows an even stripe
The ply edge is a detail rather than something to cover with a band
Face and back are specified together, by what will be seen
Consistent density gives a predictable cut and a clean engraved line
Birch plywood with cross-banded birch veneers and a void-free core, from 2 mm to 30 mm to a ± 0.5 mm tolerance, in five standard formats including 1525 × 3050 mm.
Its distinguishing property is the edge. Because the core is birch and void-free, a machined edge shows an even stripe instead of the gaps and patches that make most plywood need an edge band. That single fact is why it appears in furniture, CNC work, engraved panels and laser cutting: the edge can be left visible, and a designer can use it as part of the detail. The grade system works in pairs — face and back — so BB/CP is a good face with a repaired back, and CP/C is repaired on both sides; the pair is chosen by what will be seen rather than by what sounds better. For laser cutting, the void-free core and the cleaner faces matter more than the outer grade, because a void burns and a patch shows. With a phenolic glue line it can go into protected exterior use, though birch is not a species to leave weathering.
Send the application and which faces will be visible, and we will confirm the grade pair and the glue line rather than quote a grade without knowing the use.
Edges left exposed as part of the design rather than banded
The ply edge is the detail the piece is built around
A tight, sanded face and an edge that can be rounded
Predictable cutting, with no void to burn and no patch to show

Yes. Send the product and the size you are specifying, and we will confirm the sample and the lead time for it.
Because the core is cross-banded birch and void-free, so a machined edge shows an even stripe rather than gaps and patches. That is what allows it to be used without an edge band, which is the reason it turns up in furniture and CNC work.
The first letter is the face, the second the back, so BB/CP is a good face with a repaired back and CP/C is repaired on both sides. Choose the pair by what will be seen, not by what sounds better.
The cleaner faces and the void-free core matter more than the outer grade, because a void burns and a patch shows. Tell us it is for laser work at enquiry and we will confirm a grade that suits it.
With a WBP phenolic glue line it can go into protected exterior use, but birch is not a species that should be left to weather. Confirm the exposure before specifying.
