The surface is made at the factory, so there is no paint cycle to re-run
A pronounced line at the joint rather than a fine one
No sanding or filling between occupants, which is the cost being avoided
A damp cloth and a neutral cleaner; no abrasive or solvent needed
A wood-plastic composite wall panel at 167 × 24 mm with a deep grooved face. The 24 mm section is what gives it a pronounced shadow line at the joint, so the wall reads as panelled rather than as a flat sheet.
Its case is maintenance rather than decoration. The surface is a factory finish, not a coating that has to be renewed: there is no paint cycle, no oiling and no sanding between occupants, and cleaning is a damp cloth with a neutral cleaner. That matters in commercial interiors where nobody is going to come back and redecorate — a painted wall needs a redecoration cycle, a plaster wall needs repair after each tenant, and this needs neither. The comparison only works if the redecoration cost over the life of the fit-out is counted rather than the first cost. Being clear about the limit: low-maintenance is not damage-proof, and a deep scratch that goes through the surface stays visible. Panels fix to battens with the joint closing into the profile.
Confirm the wall area and the batten layout when ordering, and take a sample of the actual finish, because the low-maintenance argument only holds if the colour is right first time.
The fit-out is not revisited between tenancies, so the finish has to hold
High turnover, low maintenance budget, and nobody to redecorate in summer
Rooms that are functional and will not be refurbished
A wipe-clean wall that meets an infection-control routine
1 × 20ft container, mixed across products where the mix suits the project. A sample box can be arranged before the first container.

That the finish is a factory surface, not a coating that needs re-doing. There is no paint cycle, no oiling and no sanding between tenants. Cleaning is a damp cloth. What it does not mean is damage-proof: a deep scratch stays visible.
That is the case it is built for. A painted wall needs a redecoration cycle and a plaster wall needs repair between occupants; this needs neither. The cost comparison only works if you count the redecoration over the life of the fit-out, not the first cost.
The 24 mm depth gives a deeper shadow line at the joint than the 10 mm or 15 mm sections, so the wall reads as panelled rather than flat. On a long corridor that is usually the intent.
A neutral cleaner and a damp cloth are enough. Avoid abrasives and solvents, which dull the surface without cleaning it any better.
